Courtney

Handmade Geek

First of her name, the original Handmade Geek, Creator and Editor of Patterns and Downloaded Media, Crosser of Stitches, and Builder of Websites.

Preferred Craft: Cross-stitch, but will sew if called upon. Enjoys creating patterns, so much so that many won't ever see physical creation. Can often be found sitting for hours bending high end graphics programs to her will. Uses her technological acumen to bring together the practical crafting of the Queen Mother and the off the cuff crafting of a girl who has no name.

Tools Equipped: MacBook Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Singer 500A Rocketeer. She is unnaturally proud of her Rowenta iron, purchased at Ross for an exceptionally good price.

Gayle

Handmade Mama

Queen Mother of house Geek, currently sits on the Quilted Throne, and commands the largest vintage sewing machine army in the realm.

Preferred Craft: Sewing; quilting specifically. Also crochet, garment making, toothbrush rugs, knitting... all crafts live in fear that she will gain interest and dominate them. Currently lives to create quilt tops, but completes them so quickly that the servants who do the quilting cannot keep up with production.

Tools Equipped: Brother PQ1500 for most sewing, King Quilter on a Grace Queen frame for long arm quilting, and her army of over a dozen vintage sewing machines in the wings ready to step in should they be called upon.

Whitney

Sister Geek

A girl has no name, but she wears many faces: that of smith, baker, and seamstress in service of the Queen Mother. A girl can often be found in the castle collaborating with the Queen on her many projects.

Preferred Craft: Quilting, stuffed animal construction, garment creation and alteration, cake and cookie decoration. Has been known to weld, sculpt, paint, wood work and other less conventionally ladylike crafts. There was also a brief stint of quilling.

Tools Equipped: Janome MyStyle 100. Don't be fooled by her lack of traditional tools; anything within arms' reach can be equipped when a girl plays the game of crafting. Her skills at converting objects into lamps are unparalleled.
